NOTE! THIS PAGE WILL BE UPDATED IN JANUARY 2007 TO REFLECT MANY NEW ADDITIONS TO THE LIVE SOUND RIG. PLEASE STAY TUNED!

The second part of this venture is the live sound rig. The system was built to accommodate groups of up to 7 players, but can be worked for larger groups. The system is compact but powerful. It sets up quick, fills the room with sound, and then packs up in a flash.

It takes a minimum of $150.00 to get it out of the barn.  Please call or email for specific pricing!

Location, hours, and mileage may be additional, but it’ll still be reasonable.

The console is a Mackie 24.4 mixer. With effects returns I typically have 19 channels at my disposal.

The rack has a separate mic pre-amp, compressors and reverb/delay units available as needed. Front-of-House EQ and monitor EQ units fill out the rack.

(See Equipment List on the Studio page for details)

The desk and rack are a versatile combo that sits on a very small footprint, which is helpful where space is tight.

The main speakers are based on Mackie’s 1530 Active speaker system. The 1530 is an internally tri-amped speaker cabinet that puts out 500 watts per side. The bottoms are EV 18” down-firing subs, powered by Peavey CS Power amps. This 1800 watt tandem easily adapts to different music styles.

An array of monitor cabinets are available to provide necessary fold back on stage. Up to four individual monitor sends can be run to the stage as needed.

The microphone case contains items from: Shure, Oktava, Sennheiser, Audio Technica, as well as Whirlwind DI boxes.

…plus cables, snakes, stands, duct tape, etc…

For additional cost, the ADAT recorders from the studio can be incorporated in to this system to provide digitally recorded tracks directly off the board. Using the channel inserts we can pick off up to 16 tracks and record them to ADAT.

These tracks can then be transferred back at the studio for editing, mixing and production.
